In 2014, he accepted his role at POET, one of the nation's leading ethanol production companies. He is also a Technical Sergeant in the South Dakota Air National Guard and is currently deployed to South Korea.

Professors Made Powerful Impact

"I can remember when I decided I wanted to go full steam ahead with accounting," LeBrun explains. "It was the Intermediate Accounting courses taught by Jill Whitley. A number of other students were having a hard time with them, while I was enjoying and excelling at them." USF Accounting professors Whitley and Brad Van Kalsbeek also encouraged him. "They have a great passion for accounting that rubbed off on me."

Finding Friends and Family at USF

"Fortunately, I was able to find friends at USF who fit who I am," says LeBrun. "I am not sure I would have at all other colleges." LeBrun, also met his wife Keri (Eulberg '09) at USF. They have two boys and recently returned to settle in their hometown of Dell Rapids.

Alumni Changing the World

LeBrun says it is amazing to find out about other USF graduates, recognize how far and wide the collective reach of USF grads is and marvel at where they all are now. "There are teachers, lawyers, doctors, nurses, accountants, missionaries and entrepreneurs—and that is just a small sliver of the people who have been through USF."
