The USF Chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi inducted fifty-two students into the National Society of Leadership and Success

Fifty-two students were inducted as lifetime members into the USF Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) – Sigma Alpha Pi.
Dr. Deb Sepich, dean of the Vucurevich School of Business, was the induction ceremony keynote speaker and was awarded an honorary membership in the NSLS. Dr. Sepich encouraged incoming members to remember that part of being a leader is realizing that one is always in the act of becoming a leader.
During the ceremony, the USF Chapter presented the Excellence in Teaching Award to Laura Cruse, adjunct instructor; Dr. John Hiigel, professor of biblical studies; and Dr. Nathan Nassif, associate professor of speech and communications. The Service to Students Award was presented to Ralph Lott and Esther Zoss.
Ten students received the National Engaged Leader Award in recognition of their commitment to chapter activities and community service:

The Society of Leadership and Success is a national honor society that focuses on developing student leadership abilities through speaker events and Success Networking Teams comprised of small groups of students who help each other work towards accomplishing challenging goals. As members learn to lead themselves they are then encouraged to use their skills in service to the community.
