USF enrollment again rises

Enrollment at University of Sioux Falls again is up, this time by 7 percent for the spring semester since last spring semester.  

USF remains fully committed in its efforts to deliver a quality educational experience in alignment with its mission.

“Throughout the 135-year history of our institution, USF’s size has allowed us to offer our students an experience that large public institutions cannot,” said Dr. Brett Bradfield, president of the University. “A highly personal experience in interactions with faculty who act as mentors and with other students is one part of that. This allows our students to engage with one another and the campus and Sioux Falls communities and beyond. Amidst that, we never lose sight of our mission and our purpose, to transform student’s lives and prepare them to serve God and humankind.”

Roughly 1,500 students attend USF today, which includes approximately 300 graduate students in business and education programs. Each May, between 400 and 500 students graduate from University of Sioux Falls.

“We recognize the success of our alumni speaks volumes,” said Aimee Vander Feen, vice president for enrollment management.

 In fact 99 percent of USF grads recently surveyed from the Class of 2018 found employment in their chosen field or continued their studies within six months of graduation.  

“We hear from local employers again and again that they’re eager to hire our graduates, and we hear from our graduates that they feel prepared as entire persons and as members of the workforce make an impact in their communities and the world,” Vander Feen said. 

Established in 1883, USF is the oldest private institution in South Dakota that was founded within the state, even before South Dakota was a state.

Nearly 100% of first-time freshmen receive merit, performance or need-based financial aid.
