USF Graduating Class Ties for Largest-Ever

The University of Sioux Falls will confer 492 total degrees on Saturday, May 21 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. The professional studies commencement ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
The professional studies commencement ceremony includes education graduate programs, the MBA program and Degree Completion Program.
Total degrees to be conferred break down to 350 undergraduate students and 142 graduate students. This undergraduate class ties in size with the 138-year old institution’s record-breaking 2013 graduating class. Overall, this is USF’s second-largest graduating class.
Saturday, May 21 Commencement details:
- Graduate Commencement: Ceremony at 10 a.m., doors open at 9 a.m. for seating. No ticket is required.
- Undergraduate Commencement: Ceremony at 2:30 p.m., doors open at 1:30 p.m. for seating. Tickets will be required for all guests.
- Ceremonies will take place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, 1201 Northwest Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57104.

A 2022 graduate has been chosen to serve as commencement speaker at each of this year’s commencement ceremonies. Speakers will include Lee Pitts, MBA, and Rachel Holien, B.S. in Nursing, for respective ceremonies.

- Education Commissioning Ceremony: 3:30 p.m. Friday, May, 20, 2022, Z-Hall, Salsbury Science Center
A recent survey showed that 99% of USF graduates from the undergraduate Class of 2021 secured employment or pursued graduate or professional studies within six months of graduation. That same survey found that Seventy-three percent of 2021 grads started their careers in South Dakota, and of those, 93 percent are employed in Sioux Falls or within a 30 mile radius. Overall, USF graduates reported working in 21 states.
