USF launches national search for 23rd President
July 5, 2016
A national search for the University of Sioux Falls’ 23rd President officially launched on July 1, 2016.
Dr. Mark Benedetto announced his retirement after serving 20 years as the President of the University of Sioux Falls. Under his leadership, USF has grown in size, strength and prominence. Throughout his tenure, the University has stayed true to its mission of fostering academic excellence and the development of mature Christian persons for service to God and humankind in the world.
Dr. Gretchen Hoffman, associate professor of psychology at USF, is serving as Chair of the USF Presidential Search Committee. The 16-member Search Committee consists of USF faculty, staff, students and trustees.
“I am honored to lead a national search for the 23rd President of the University,” said Dr. Hoffman. “The Presidential Search Committee is confident our search will reveal a visionary leader who will inspire us to engage our future with zeal, one another with grace and the world for His service.”
In addition, a website has been developed to feature the presidential search.
“The website has been designed to introduce visitors to our respected institution, communicate information about the Presidential search, provide updates relative to the search and receive input,” said Dr. Hoffman.
