The University of Sioux Falls is canceling classes on, Tuesday, November 26, due to the winter storm projected to hit the Sioux Falls area, and many of the regions students will travel to for the Thanksgiving holiday. The cancelation of USF classes includes Tuesday daytime and evening classes. Classes will resume on Monday, December 2, 2019.
For students who were scheduled for Nursing simulations or clinicals tomorrow: notification from Nursing faculty, with information about rescheduling will be sent.
At this time, USF Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, and athletic events scheduled will take place. In addition, all offices are to be open and operational from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Students who leave a vehicle on-campus, and who will not be available to move their car in the event we plow the parking lots, MUST make arrangements to park their car off-campus or have their car moved to the “Overnight Snow Spaces” in the Collier Baker/Kroske or Stewart Center parking lots. The men’s basketball game scheduled in the Stewart Center on Tuesday night will take place as scheduled. All in-season student-athletes should connect with their coach for specific information. The USF Athletic Complex will be closed beginning Tuesday, November 26.
University Dining Services and Cooper’s Cafe will be open for breakfast and lunch on Tuesday as scheduled. Watch your USF email or check the USF app for adjustments in serving time.
USF will continue to monitor the weather and will communicate additional information or changes using USF email, the text notification system, website, Severe Weather Hotline (605-331-6595) and/or the USF app. As always, the USF Campus Safety and Security Department is open and available to assist you 24/7 at 605-321-6400.
